We understand that you may be uncertain about booking or attending a course in the current climate. We will do everything possible to ensure people are safe and feel comfortable working alongside others.

Workshop Safety

We have a wonderful workshop in Hove just next to Brighton.

There will be a maximum of eight participants on the course and each will have their own screened area in which to work. There will be plenty of hand sanitiser available and we will keep windows open to aid ventilation. We will check everyone’s temperature daily.

If current government guidelines remain unchanged you can choose whether to wear a mask when in your own work area, however you will be required to wear one when moving around the workshop and when in the machine room.

Some of the materials we use give off fumes or dust and so you will need a respirator when using these, please see here for details.

Please be aware that the cost of the workshop does not cover masks and respirators, and you will need to provide these for yourself. A good respirator is an essential piece of kit which ensures you can use materials safely and is well worth investing in.

Only two people at a time (in addition to myself) will be allowed in the machine room. There will be a rota to ensure everyone has access to the tools for an adequate amount of time.

Should we be unable to run the course for any reason, or should you be unable to attend due to coronavirus, you will receive a full refund.

Regrettably, we cannot refund any other costs you may have incurred in booking the course or cancelling, including travel and accommodation. We recommend ensuring that you are aware of any third party cancellation terms before you book.
